Ampy
A battery widget that fits your home screen
Ampy shows your battery level, time left and charging status in one of 20 designs, at any size from 1x1 to full screen. It updates the moment you plug in. No ads, ever.
Free to download. Android 8.0 or later.
Every feature
Everything Ampy does. Features marked Pro come with the one-time Pro upgrade; the rest are free.
On your home screen
Any size
Resize from 1x1 to full screen. The layout adapts to any size automatically: the graphic alone when small, graphic and details when wide or tall.
Instant updates
Plug in or unplug and the widget changes within a second, not minutes later: Charging, Fully charged, Not charging or On battery.
Time left and time to full
See roughly how long your battery will last, and while charging, when it will be full.
Light and dark mode
The widget follows your phone's light or dark mode on its own.
As many widgets as you like
Place several, each with its own look and settings. Change one any time from the app, or by long-pressing it on Android 12 and later.
Add it from the app
Pick a design in Ampy and tap Add to home screen, or add it from your launcher's widget list.
Always running
Keeps working after a restart or an app update, with nothing to set up again.
Charging speed Pro
Check whether a charger or cable is really fast: "Charging at 25 W", right on the widget.
Make it yours
20 designs Pro
Rings, gauges, bars, a liquid wave, and ten car-inspired instruments. Circular is free; Pro unlocks the other 19, plus every new design we add.
15 themes Pro
Material You, Light, Dark, AMOLED, colorful themes and Signature colors for each car-inspired design. System is free.
Show or hide details Pro
Keep the status and time left on the widget, or show only the level for a cleaner look.
Background opacity Pro
Fade the widget's background, from solid to fully see-through, to show off your wallpaper.
Choose what a tap opens Pro
The widget's settings, Battery health, or your phone's own battery screen.
Try before you buy
Preview every design, theme and option on your own battery level, charging or on battery, and see an example of Battery health, before deciding on Pro.
Alerts and battery health
Low battery alert Pro
A notification when your battery drops to a level you choose, from 5% to 50%.
Charging alert Pro
A notification when charging reaches 80% or full. Stopping at 80% helps a battery last longer.
Battery health Pro
Health, temperature (in °C or °F to match your region), voltage, power source, charging speed, time to full, technology and (where your phone reports them) charge cycles, updated live.
Your phone's battery screen
One tap from Ampy to your phone's own battery screen, by the name your phone gives it: what has been using your battery, and its power saving options.

Battery information in settings
Easy to read
Low battery in words
At 15% or less the widget says "Low battery" with a warning symbol, not only a red color.
TalkBack
Screen readers hear the whole state, for example "Battery 42 percent, Charging, Full in 1h 4m".
Clear choices
Your selected design and theme carry a checkmark as well as an outline, so nothing depends on seeing color.
Text size Pro
Normal, Large or Largest, because your phone's font size setting cannot reach a home screen widget.
High contrast themes Pro
Four themes, including yellow on black, tested to meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast for text and graphics.
Private and simple
No ads, ever
Not in the free version, not in Pro.
No account, no tracking
No sign-in, no analytics. Your battery readings never leave your phone.
Pay once
Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and unlocks on every phone signed in to your Google account.
20 designs
Pick a look, then change it any time. Every design works with every theme, light and dark. Circular is free; the rest come with Pro.

Questions
How do I resize the widget?
Long-press the widget on your home screen and drag its handles. Ampy works at any size from 1x1 to a full screen, and the layout adapts automatically.
Does Ampy have ads?
No. Ampy has no ads in the free version or in Pro, and never will.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a single one-time purchase. It stays unlocked on every phone signed in to the same Google account, including every new design added later.
Why does Ampy show a notification?
Android only lets an app react to the charger instantly while it shows a notification. It is silent and set to the lowest importance, and you can hide it in Android's notification settings without stopping the widget.
Does Ampy drain the battery?
No. Ampy sits idle until Android reports a battery change, which it does anyway, and only then redraws the widget.
Does Ampy collect any data?
No. Ampy has no accounts, analytics or ads. Battery readings never leave your phone. Read the privacy policy.
